Call me imaginative or even delusional, but as I was reading this, I couldn't stop thinking of Joseph Mengele and other doctors of the Third Reich. To be fair, doctors in the USA certify that prisoners are "fit" enough to be executed and stand by as the executions (mostly very painful) take place.
