This is grim. 1 in 5 kids is living with a type of postviral condition that almost broke me when I got it at age 37. By the time most parents figure out what's going on, it will be worsened because rest and pacing are the opposite of children's normal day to day lives. Wear a mask in public (please)

One of my niblings has a post viral illness. Her parents have made the connection to me and how it's wrecked my life, but they are more worried about her not having a "normal childhood," and I can't get them to listen 😩

Geez, and all the complaints that come with those symptoms are things so many parents just brush off with kids, even normally.
