This is why I still prefer the 2 AA battery version: swap out the batteries with freshly charged ones from my recharger and I’m good to go.

For sure. I had one of those and that’s exactly what I did. I could also just put the damn thing on the charger every night.

I had that mouse too. I bought a battery pack (had 2 AAA rechargeable batteries inside) that fitted exactly into the battery compartment and recharged contactless while sitting on a pad for the night. I now use a trackpad and that little mouse now sleeps in my desk drawer.
