Starfield is feature rich, they're good systems, the guns feel good, the flying even feels good for a game made by a company that's not got a ton of experience in space sims. the stories and the setting and the development of the player's understanding of the world that draws people in is missing

I thought the guns felt like junk tbh, weak ol’ pooters weaker than Mass Effect guns!

A million indie games with no resources succeed where starfield fails. what's funny is Bethesda is really good at doing the hard part, the difficult technical lifts, the world class state machine and quest framework capable of a degree of interdependence surpassed by very few.
