Any change has to be able to be rolled out cross-country, between provincial services, different medical ass’ns, private industry etc..& it has to be done with an almost fanatical obsession for perfection. Because they’re the trusted source. If healthcare can’t trust them we’re all fucked. 4/n (?)

So it’s not as simple as updating a DB, because it means retraining thousands of people, re-working reams of documentation, updating tons of software and yes, DBs that were created based on a flawed premise, and praying that whatever mistakes they do (inevitably) make will not be fatal. 5/n
