Iâm hoping this new one will support HEVC 10-bit. The developer specs mention VP9 Profile 2, so Iâd be surprised if HEVC10 didnât work. If it had enough performance for software AV1 decoding that would be the cherry on top.
People say they suck, but I think theyâre quite swift for $100. Even my old 2018 model I gave to someone surprised me at how smooth it still was (I did not install Google services because it drags down responsiveness). Now thereâs a model with 4GB RAM, should be solid for the next few years.

I work out physics and math equations on OneNote on a Galaxy Tab, and it's only just occured to me that I can copy-paste figures and questions on OneNote desktop and have it immediately synced to the tablet so I don't have to write/draw them out. đ¤Ś

Upon further "research" it looks like they're charging $1 per GB of encoded video. đ
You could make the argument that people who never wanted to pay in the first place would still pirate, but even if you want to pay, youâre put in a tight spot. For 25 episodes youâre paying more than the price of a 34-disc The Office (US) box set. Amazing value.
