I thought sardines were just adult anchovies until maybe not ten, but pretty close. In my defense, when you find out how trout and salmon work, it isn't that big of a stretch.
I knew there was a bill for air conditioning in the house but I also thought there was a separate air conditioning bill for the car. I always worried about the cost in the summer when the AC was on all the time in the car.

A well known UK politician called Neil Kinnock was at a gathering of our local MP (my Dad worked with her on stuff). We were playing with his kids, and he told me that slices of gherkin in hamburgers were sliced crocodile tails. I was about 3, max. I didn't eat a gherkin until I was about 17.
