My favourite word at the moment is Iktsuarpok, which is also the title of my forthcoming poetry collection (2024)... It's an Inuit word which means 'The feeling of anticipation while waiting for someone to arrive, often leading to intermittently going outside to check for them.'

What a brilliant word. I feel like I also need a word for the anticipation of waiting for a phone call or email you know is imminent...!
