Well obviously it would have been better to build it earlier - not been any reservoirs built in England since 1992 and it's quite possible the government will speed it up - pretty much anywhere in Cambridgeshire isn't high above sea level so I am not sure I see the revalance

My question is why are so many people in Cambridge BANANAs - Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anyone - it's not NIMBY in this because the reservoir is miles away

And functionally the sea level only becomes relevant if you turn off the pumping engines, which isn't going to happen unless the next metro mayor is Poseidon.
