As I mentioned to my wife this morning re: the demonstrations, we can see the same teams lining up as we saw in the 60s. We've learned nothing.
And the trigger for violence has ratcheted down to annoyance. Kent State/Jackson State followed literally years of campus protests across the country, SDS militancy, and rock throwing (at Kent State). Now, erecting a tent a few days brings calls for the bayonets. These guys just want blood.
What was the lesson, killing kids gets us votes?
