It's been 2 weeks since Canada approved the latest COVID vaccine and B.C. hasn't given a single update on when they'll be available. This isn't just bad public health, it's bad politics. The BC Conservative leader is an anti-vaxxer. Reminding people that vaccines matter would be good for the BC NDP.

I don't like that the founding idea of this is "we hope another pandemic won't happen but we want to be prepared just in case" - it will, humans haven't conquered disease, also there's the whole thing with the current one hasn't ended - but I hope this agency does good things.

What's the deal with these fancy Intel chips with P/E/LPE cores on #linux#Ubuntu 24.04 or is it supposed to Just Work? I haven't been keeping track of the kernel changes for like a year and work gave me a new laptop.

Despite the rising number of COVID cases, overwhelmed hospitals and the tremendous long-term toll on individuals, prevention efforts have been abandoned. Andrew Nikiforuk writes.

Canada’s health system reels as 1,000 die weekly. Each infection carries serious risks. Where’s the prevention?

Is this based on or would the software be compatible with BeepBerry/Beepy/whatever name they're going with these days?
