To catch everyone up on billionaire brainworm machine politics: 1) an NPR “whistleblower” wrote an article in The Free Press alleging anti-conservative bias at NPR three weeks ago 2) the brand new CEO of NPR, Katherine Maher, had a bunch of tweets that revealed her to be progressive; opportunity!
It says so much about their cultural anxieties that this is the dumb fight they pick.
Is she a progressive, or is she just, not a POS person?
And given Wikipedia becoming a relatively reliable source of information, a focus on truth might have been expected from the new CEO. Which is not mealy mouthed bothsiderism
Anti-conservative bias is Good, Actually
Let the plutocrats fluff the nazis until the stock market catches up and melts them into component parts. And a reminder: endless drug intake and no sleep has proven a disastrous pathway for the last decade and the German decade of 1935-45
Yeah and jack is all about free speech
Those two can blow each other all they want, I'm done with their bullshit.
What I wonder about here is, since NPR didn't cave, it's gotten less connected to reality. The ones where it was still connected to reality, people reliably caved. What can they do now? Call another hearing, sure. But isn't their case considerably weaker now? Is this a new playbook?
Rather than destroying npr, maybe listen to it? They tell you the news, it’s nice
