This thread has taken me back to the dissonance arising from not conforming to expectations. The one thought I want you to leave you with is that it is okay to feel that you don’t fit in somewhere. I really hope you make it on the scheme and have a radically different, awesome experience.

Approach it with openness and introspection in equal measure. You may find it to be a place that’s receptive to change and diverse ways of thinking…or not. If it isn’t, you have choices. You’re a thoughtful, nuanced leader - and who you are will change that system by virtue of you being within it.
