Yes! The parenting? On top of everything else?? IN THIS ECONOMY??? I jest, but truly. We’re fucking doing it, friend. And also it’s fucking challenging. Also fuck all this global, unrelenting pain and all this personal minutia of weird, you know? It’s just all so much.
I’ve had three complete breakdowns this month. Full-body tears. Grief. Exhaustion. Overwhelm. ANGER. And so much so far beneath the capabilities of language. I feel you. In this with you.
It is ever in our best interests to interrogate what is done with our tax dollars and who considers us worth serving and supporting. And who is really hyped about war.
As an Asian American who went to therapy for the first time during the 2021 wave of anti-Asian violence, I know how it feels to be targeted. Please stand up for whoever's being scapegoated today - trans people, Haitians, immigrants, EVERYONE. We are all in this together.
