TL;DR: The election moves to Congress, where the House of Representatives votes for the president and the Sneate for the vice president. Each state gets exactly 1 vote. If a VP is chosen by Jan. 20th but not a P, the new VP becomes acting P until the House chooses a P. (1/2)

I'm about to throw this rag in the bin with the NY Times.

States shouldn't be spitting their electoral votes. The electoral college is FAR from perfect (as proportional rep. goes) but splitting the votes breaks it & defeats the purpose of having it to begin with. The state's weighting was built into the system. Splitting the vote only makes it worse

If every state gets one vote, we're fucked in a country where dirt matters more than people. America is basically built to fail

Doesn't "tie go to the runner"?

Maybe report on how one of the candidates is a seditious rapist, promising ethnic cleansing, and implementing a police state against critics, and it can be even more unlikely.

The lengths you're willing to go to to report on the presidential race without actually reporting on it are quite honestly offensive. Be better than this. Please.
