there's a 2004 screenshot (in all its 1024x768 glory, with a default litestep theme, eek!) of mine that shows this quite well .. it could've been worse, okay~ i wonder where i saved that screenshot, i come across it every so often.. i do wish i had more stuff from 2003-2006 saved tho ):
one part of the old web that's hard to replicate is websites putting random things in your browser status bar .. and tabbed browsers somehow having that persist even in other tabs, so when i'd have another tab open in my mozilla suite, i'd still see one site's CUSTOM STATUS BAR TEXT

it also somehow gave me both dutch and german sponsored preinstall apps so that's double the storage space spam, bweh time to go on an uninstall spree!!
my 'chromecast with google tv' was complaining about 'storage space running out' and i feel that, uh, if it didn't preinstall so many sponsored random streaming service apps it'd not run into this issue in the first place
