Look at all the Viet places near tiny Harrisburg, PA population 50,000 thanks to refugees settling there in the 1970s. This is a good thing. Pizza is great but sometimes you need a hot bowl of pho.

Even in central Pennsylvania, it’s now possible to get really good Mexican, Indian, Thai, et multiple cetera food! Would that we had more immigrants bringing in their delicious foodstuffs!

the people who welcomed immigrant communities into this part of PA are often religiously oriented (Mennonites etc) another genius move by Trump-Vance to alienate the host families and churches. agitprop does not beat lived-experience

I’m grateful for the puzzle bones and kraut and hot German potato salad passed through 4 generations into my kitchen. I also note that the 3-generation German-speaking enclave in Peoria County IL was celebrated by the local press—knowing prosperity for the immigrants meant prosperity for the area.
