My theory is after you pass certain threshold of wealth - it breaks your brain, and you disassociate from reality.
I would wager the threshold changes from person to person. Some people seem to get there when they get $100.
Yes, and you decide you deserve your riches and other people are lazy or they'd have more money.
Yep. When people say “nobody needs a billion dollars” they’re right. I don’t know any billionaires, but I know a bunch of guys worth 10, 50, 100mil. Even at 10mil the money stops being a resource and becomes a scoreboard. It’s how they know they’re winning.
Greed is an addiction, it seems.
Agreed. I also have a theory: Once you've been rich/wealthy longer than you've been broke, you lose your damn mind. It's how you get Ice Cube promoting Trump's "Platinum Plan for Black America" last election.
I honestly don’t remember if it was in this video or one of the podcast episodes, but Jack O’Brien from Cracked posed that you could pinpoint the moment in history when a celebrity got enough money that they just stopped receiving new information. youtu.be/Ehh9ICHLpEQ?...
