Similar models have come before, but our goal in this work was to simplify the ideas into a model with only a few parameters!
A new preprint by Mariia Steeghs-Turchina showing that a simple "global" model of EEG based on white matter connectivity can explain slow wave dynamics. In addition to the simulations, we also derive the model theoretically. osf.io/preprints/ps...
I'm finding it difficult to find #CogSci2024 talks and posters online. If you want to come chat with me on Saturday between 1 and 3pm, my poster number is P3-Q-687.
Congratulations to Kathleen Medriano, Zita Oravecz & Joachim Vandekerckhove @joachim.cidlab.commathpsych.org/presentation...#iccmpsyched
THANK YOU!! MathPsych/ICCM 2024 is running smoothly thanks to the hardworking Tilburg University student team! #iccmpsyched
A few weeks ago Eelke Spaak, @nunezanalyzed.bsky.socialtinyurl.com/mr3esbwe is all about single-trial EEG, with video's of their excellent talks ánd a bonus video with Jelmer Borst 📽️
Welcome to The EEG Newsletter! This is where I share news from our community of EEG researchers, vacancies, events and other interesting EEG-related stuff. Subscription is free. In this edition Single...
The 1st Individual Differences talk is “Modeling EEG with axon delay times to analyze individual differences in cognition” by Mariia Steeghs-Turchina, Paul Nunez, Ramesh Srinivasan & Michael Nunez @nunezanalyzed.bsky.socialmathpsych.org/presentation...#iccmpsyched
This preprint has existed for awhile, but now it is published in Behavior Research Methods! A tutorial on fitting models of M/EEG and behavior to understand cognition. We wrote this so that readers from different backgrounds, especially Masters & PhD students, would find it useful. rdcu.be/dzHJs
Here is a cool package and associated preprint to do single-trial EEG estimation. I recommend playing around with this one. HMP by Gabriel Weindel (with Leendert van Maanen and Jelmer Borst -- I don't think they're on Bluesky!) www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...github.com/GWeindel/hmp
