I was excited to hear the Berkeley Art Museum would be renovated, but these cubicles are a sin: inspire.berkeley.edu/o/a-first-lo...
Driven by the motto Fiat Lux, Berkeley illuminates the world.
Yeah- in the grand scheme of things it isnt make or break. But it's still a hinderance for the county considering how many hospitals and clinics they have, and how revenue from 340B reimbursements filters back to the county. From my understanding, this isnt a straight forward process.
The issue isn't rearranging funding, but rather Section 14124.45. Oversight of Prescription Drug Price Manipulators. I think this will be a heavy lift for counties. vig.cdn.sos.ca.gov/2024/general...
That's for the AG/DOJ to decide, but from my understanding, the compliance/paperwork process outlined in the prop is a nightmare
LA Angeles County Department of Health Services and Department of Public Health have a ton of hospitals/clinics that participate: 340bopais.hrsa.gov/CoveredEntit... Folks are really sleeping on the implications for the LA safety net healths system
I'd love for county counsel to weigh in, but "legal organization of any kind" sounds to apply to a county as a whole, or a county agency.
Those station renderings are something...feels like they could use some value engineering on the design
That's not what the prop says.. The entity qualifies if they spend 100M over a 10 yr period on non-direct patient care, which is an absurdly low bar for a county the size of LA
Any concern Prop 34 will impact LA County? I have hunch that because the county prob receives 340B funding through the county hlth system, owns housing, & said housing has received 500 high risk violations, this will impact the funding for the county. @liamdillon.bsky.social Any thoughts on this?
