That is the positive side of the difference. The negative side is that Democrats engage in the same "get his ass" behavior over things that are mere differences of opinion/emphasis/strategy, while cult-like devotion is the norm among Republicans. Unfortunately, their approach is more effective.

It's also more effective because Republicans have fewer things to disagree on. "Tear down & undermine every governmental institution that's not defense/military" is something you don't need to argue too much about the tactics for, because there's many ways to undermine govt programs that all "work".
