I highly, HIGHLY recommend anything by Brandon Sanderson, especially The Cosmere, if you like fantasy with hard magic systems. I recommend this reading guide (17thshard.github.io/reading-orde...), as it has good series cohesion while still getting you ready to pick up on the little things!
