These two posts sum up the issue of misinformation in the age of social media and hyper-partisan politics pretty well. There comes a point when posting false content doesn't even matter, so long as it confirms your worldview and elicits the approval of your side.
Some people just emanate safe auras, and that’s so much more desirable than nice :)
One of my first illustrations for the David Suzuki Foundation was a magical beluga whale skating pond. After a few years, I did this sequel. I think I felt a bit jaded, wondering how we can dream of magic whales when they & the ice are disappearing so quickly #whales#scicomm#sciart#illustration
John Green posted about twitter on threads so I screenshot and now posting here on bsky 😅 I share the same sentiment. I fuckin hate how twt is full of bots and blue ticks with bad takes, useless search, block, and mute functions. And yet it’s where fandom interactions happen so I can’t get away 🥲🥲
I’d be honestly too lazy to do it all over again. I feel like I’ve put all my effort in the first time around and that’s gotta be enough. I wouldn’t even invest in stocks as it’s too complicated for me 😅
It's my birthday! 🎈 And my first one here in Bluesky I think! I'm so old 👴 You know what they say: a RT is the best gift to an artist 👀 it would mean a lot to share my work 💝
