They should've Tested that AI over and over till the chances of it hallucinating was a bit small bcz we tryna provide good info not fake info

The problem is that ChatGPT doesn't actually *know* anything. It's not a search or a database of info. It's a Large Language Model that's just designed to string words together into sentences that seem appropriate for the prompt. Sometimes that gives you sentences that sound good but are false.
