Yeah I'll say it too! Being in-character owns, and the really aggressive fronting everyone does regarding it always seemed weird

Agreed. I always thought it ironic how some furries will play video and board games for hours, yet think roleplaying is weird. It's just a different form of gaming.

It’s also the “hi do u rp” notes or dm’s that you get from strangers kinda made everyone cover up so they get less of it.

I think it's mostly about RP with strangers or with mutuals who you still aren't very close with who are asking for structured RP with a story and stuff. Personally I've always done sort of casual RP actions in direct chat. :P

I agree with this. Roleplaying with good buddies or a good group is always a ton of fun
