From policy announcements to political positioning, the Labour conference in Liverpool was followed closely by the IfG team.

This matters because it’s not difficult to see that, for example, that we need to protect capital spend, enable front line innovation and move more to prevention, to improve public services. The question is why this hasn’t been done in the past and what’s going to change in the future?
