The Prisoner is still just as weird as when it was first broadcast. Edge of Darkness and Cracker remain brilliant.

Edge of Darkness starts very well, but lapses into silliness after three episodes.

Some Dennis Potter, too. ‘Blue Remembered Hills’, ‘Nigel Barton’, ‘Son Of Man’. Also ‘Boys From The Blackstuff’. And ‘Shoestring’ seems weirdly modern, for all the early 80s period stuff.

Yes all three of these. And also Prime Suspect, still great.
