Hard agree. A big dollop of marmite or 3-4 anchovies makes all stews taste 10x better.
I came to this realisation when I moved to France.
Next bit of crowdsourcing: here's the full list of donors to Tory leadership runner Kemi Badenoch since July. Let me know if you recognise any (no info in the register) https://buff.ly/4dSrH7A

It’s hard to see an outcome to Musk’s present trajectory that isn’t either catastrophic for him personally or for a large chunk of humanity collectively. My money is very much on the former. Fading into mega wealthy retirement seems vanishingly unlikely.
Whatever you think about Brazil suspending X, allowing a megalomaniac to build up state-like powers seems like a bad idea (I've no idea what Musk is threatening here, but he has extraordinary powers in US space/military/energy sectors).

This entire shelf of off-brand cereals sounds like an old English army Major, trying to find a euphemism for gay men.
On a positive note, I do think Lammy and I suspect Starmer too have a realistic understanding of the UK’s position. Less sure about Whitehall. But for damn sure the last government and their creatures in Fleet and Tufton Streets had no idea. So we’re in a better place now than we were.
This is also my experience from inside the machine. In this sense I think it matters that the UK dropped out of so many EU programmes it could have remained part of as a third country, as this cut many lower- level links between the UK and Brussels / Member States
