# UKEd #EduSky Gary Klein is very critical of lab studies set up to show we're irrational, always swayed by cognitive biases. Out of labs, everyday heuristics are very useful & essential for experts' pattern matching. Seems we can't train out biases anyway.

I don’t think Kahneman ever described system 1 as defective. He preferred to see it as a beautiful adaptive strategy that worked so much of the time and was sometimes unhelpful.
