Hawkes Bay to Manawatū Road maths. Summary: 1. Not enough vehicles to toll (<10,000 AADT) 2. Longer route/time so users won't use it anyway. 3. Toll $ income won't even pay for the interest fees on the capital cost. Waka Kotahi good at maths? I don't think so. #nzpol

Ok so Waka Kotahi think that the replacement road between HB and Manawatū will carry over 11,000 vehicle movements per day. Important to remember- can’t toll below 10k a day. Let us have a look at THEIR numbers shall we. Cause we can.
