Sounds like either a wire hitting the fan or the fan has a loose bearing and is spinning at an angle causing it to hit the outer casing. If it's a wire, move the wire. If it's not then replace the fan.

if there's not a loose wire catching on the fan it's probably a bearing, you can try lubricating it but fans are relatively inexpensive compared to other components and pretty straightforward to swap if you'd rather not deal with that

If it is not something the fan blades are hitting (should be very easy to see visually), it is likely that the ball bearings of the fan has gone bad. You will have to replace the fan in that case.
