Conservatives made up the quote “government is just the name we give to the things we choose to do together” to attack it but honestly it goes hard

That is quite possibly the best argument for robust government action I've ever heard.

Did they? A quick Google shows me that it's attributed to Barney Frank but that conservatives and libertarians HATE it. I've also heard a different and I think better version--"government is just the name we give to the things we do together that we cannot do on our own"
