Hey folks! What are some innovations you're seeing in boxed sets from TTRPGs now? What cool widgets and tools are you seeing out there? Especially interested in ways to showcase adventures. And yes, I'm well aware of Free League's amazing Alien adventures! :)
Thanks!
Every time I write a new complex hazard for #Starfinder2E, it's just an absolute joy. This latest one just feels like SUCH a Starfinder thing, and absolutely something you could not put into a Pathfinder adventure.
Oh no. This is just for an inline microstatblock O_O
The amount of times I run FOXIT in the background to check the entire Paizo library against a random NPC or proper noun...
Reminder: Freelance game writing isn't just "oh make up stuff in long spurts." It's more like: Start writing. Get to mention an NPC. Need to research the military ranks for their military. Need to search ancestry names we've used for their ancestry in the past. 5 minutes pass, one sentence is done.
I mean, why not a variety of options? Balance solarians with cool solar sawtooth sabers via Twin Solar Weapons feat? How about a Shadow Mystic connection? What about an operative who uses pistols in close-combat? TONS of options. Want uniformity? We can always make a space RMA archetype...
No. But we have plans.
Today's #Starfinder freelance involved writing the words: "The orbital bombardment then rolls initiative."
GOOOOOOD! Wait until we get through Season 3 :D
