The problem with universal Healthcare was never that it was radical or complicated. The issue has always been that rich people, mostly in the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, would not be able to make nearly as much money under that system.
What’s harder to believe? That universal healthcare is so radical and complicated that we’re the only country in the world without it. Or… The millions of dollars in insurance and pharma campaign donations each year to members of Congress are actually just bribes to block it.
