What’s harder to believe? That universal healthcare is so radical and complicated that we’re the only country in the world without it. Or… The millions of dollars in insurance and pharma campaign donations each year to members of Congress are actually just bribes to block it.

We’re heading to the same situation in the UK. Increasing influence of private healthcare companies in Government decisions. Corruption.

The problem with universal Healthcare was never that it was radical or complicated. The issue has always been that rich people, mostly in the insurance and pharmaceutical industries, would not be able to make nearly as much money under that system.

It was congress’ biggest pharma bro who traded endorsements in a quid pro quo with Joe Biden Clyburn chose him to be president, and Biden moved the primary to the Republican and anti-abortion/union state of South Carolina Clyburn, THE king of pharma donations

I will never understand how Americans are simply okay with mass bribery and corruption of their government officials in the name of "lobbying".

I have definitely sat though the former explaination dozens of times. Some effective propaganda at play.

What is worse is doctors in other countries find cures for illness, but they’re not allowed to practice medicine in this country. If it affects the pharmaceutical companies bottom line. Dr Chaudhury in India has found a cure for diabetes.

Makes absolutely no sense, does it? We have to get Dems in charge all the way from the top down to the city levels.

I would say our lifestyle has more to do with life expectancy that health care although I still think we should have universal health care. My wife is a type 1 diabetic so we get the full health care experience in America
