My father worked there in the early 60s as a Psychologist. Back then there were hundreds if not more veterans housed there. Mostly WWI. My grandfather who was injured in WWI lived there for a short time. Somewhere the VA and Veterans rights were slashed tremendously. Reagan comes to mind
