this collage is called "Mall LIFE" I made it a couple yrs ago. It is my attempt at 'camp'. To be true tho, I loved the mall as a young teen. It felt like a respite from the dreariness of my home - and even in my artwork now, I can see a kind of 80s mall esthetic influence. #Collage#Art#OriginalArt

A mixed media collage on a pink and blue striped watercolor background, and bright confetti-like chips of paper. The image is dominated by the word life in white capital letters against a bright red background, cut from the cover of an old life magazine. Above that are individually cut letters on old paper with a blurry phto of variously colored lights that spell MALL. there are 3 circles of cut paper, one in silver shimmering paper, one in gold, and another in hot pink. within the hot pink one are various cut photos and stickers of happy hip looking people, as well as the faces of Grant and Franklin taken from play-money. Other small elements of multi-color paper fill the background of the hot pink circle.
