Ooh. Would they be trying to bury stuff or find something?
Any idea what could be creating these shallow holes in the lawn? Only seen the last few weeks. Look like digging, possibly in pairs?? Don't think it's cats. Had hedgehogs in garden this year. Never seen foxes or badgers here. It's concentrated on the yellow bits but can't tell if cause or effect.

Scientifically, a raven has 17 primary wing feathers, the big ones at the end of the wing. They are called pinion feathers. A crow has 16. So, the difference between a raven and a crow is only a matter of a pinion.
