Either one could win or lose, but if I were running things myself, I'd prefer the Harris campaign that tried to make Trump look gross, weird, and stupid to the one now, which has continued emphasizing Trump's threat to a political order undecided voters clearly don't respect that much anyway.

I miss hammering Trump as a gross weirdo, but there’s also a part of me that wonders why people would need to be told this when there’s been ample evidence of him being gross and weird over the last 9 years.

Use terms like "pathetic" and "mentally ill" and "easily manipulated." Point out Trump's obvious traits that NOBODY respects.

Agreed. And it should be easy to keep shining a light on the grossness, weirdness, & stupidity constantly on display.

Yeah just when I’m like “what’s the point, everybody has seen him heard him speak a million times” I see this shit and I think maybe people should check it out before they decide to put him in charge again x.com/bostonbrian2...

i feel like something that really breaks through even to his own voters is how fucking stupid & unorganized his own mind is right now. he just rambles endlessly, which he always has done, but it's -really- bad now.

You’d think they would get more elite buy-in with that attack at least. But like in 2016, it’s not happening.

I take your point but I'm not 100% sure this is right, largely because of how in '22 we saw voters in swing states reject candidates who aligned themselves with J6/election denialism—there's some subset of people who vote GOP a lot of the time but can be persuaded not to if they have J6 on the brainI take your point but I'm not 100% sure this is right, largely because of how in '22 we saw voters in swing states reject candidates who aligned themselves with J6/election denialism—there's some subset of people who vote GOP a lot of the time but can be persuaded not to if they have J6 on the brain

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't listen anyway. If you don't consider Trump abhorrently weird and repulsive, then you are willfully ignorant. I don't know how you can go the past 8 years without coming to this conclusion without absolutely unjustified levels of self-insulation.

seems like they could do both. no need to pick one or the other.
