Okay, just when I finally post about SamP's דבר corresponding to MT's אמר, I come across Exodus 9:1 which has the reverse correspondence...
Comparing the SamP with MT systematically, I think I am seeing a nearly consistently different use of waw in lists, and in Exodus, several places where SamP's דבר corresponds to MT's אמר, oddly. Anyone know of scholarship on these? #HebrewBible#TextualCriticism#SamaritanPentateuch
it really is not an exaggeration in the slightest to say that the trump vance plan for reducing housing costs is ethnic cleansing
You're right in general, but in this particular case, the same "undecided voter" complained elsewhere in the WaPo piece that she lost medical insurance under Biden but not under Trump, which may explain leaning towards voting for Trump while preferring Harris's view on women's healthcare.
Silly, they only believe in redemption for (their brand of) Christians! The president's son just isn't relevant unless he gets saved in a Southern Baptist church.
Such a small letter shifts the narrative about who said this, changing the speaker from Joseph to God himself! 3/3
MT: "He sent his brothers away and they went, and *he* said *to them,* 'Do not get angry on the journey.'" SamP: "He sent his brothers away and they went, and *God* said, 'Do not get angry on the journey.'" Adding a yod transforms "to them" into "God," which then replaces the implicit subject. 2/
I'm amused by a textual variation in #Genesis#HebrewBible#TextualCriticism
