For younger people its ‘the homework machine’ which is bad twofold, in that millions of kids are going to not develop a wide range of rhetorical, compositional or logical faculties and the over reliance on often very wrong AI info is very problematic. 1/2

And the simplest way for teachers to help end it is "If I catch you using this crap it's an automatic fail mark."

I say this as someone who does encourage my kids to learn to incorporate software tools into their homework practice, but only if they are still learning the core ideas and correcting problems. They have to read, write and do the math 2/2
