It's amazing how many discourses blow up purely on the basis of a lack of charity extended because someone looks a certain way and that leads to people projecting all sorts of "she must think she's better than" bullshit on said person. Not seen many immune to it, even in transfeminist circles.

Most of us have childhood experiences of exclusion. I, personally, experienced the turbohell version of it, even amongst trans women. We then go to these spaces, on and offline, that predicate their sense of identity on being hated by the cool kids. We always imagine ourselves in defiance of them.
