Because of the internet, everything becomes an instant classic or deeply reviled. No in between. Perfection or debasement. People wrap their identities around it to the point where you are not allowed to analyze something 'cause if you point out flaws, people will take something as a personal insult

I learn by breaking apart stuff. It's how you learn how something works, by observing its internal mechanics. Analysis is a kind of dissection. But if you do it, like, openly, some folks take it as trying to shit on something they like, yuck their yum or something. You can't touch it.

This is so incredibly annoying. Something can be pretty OK or not that good. You can still like it. Everything you like doesn't have to be the best ever.

This is the thing I've commented on before. Stuff is allowed to be bad, mediocre, fine! We should want that! Not everything is going to be amazing. Some shows are just... okay! THE CW LIVED ON THIS FACT!
