Washington state has a law on the books that allows any registered voter to challenge the right of a candidate to appear on the ballot if they’ve been convicted of a felony.

Plot twist: WA has a law against felons running for office

Local Republicans should think about dropping Donald Trump from the fall ballot. Or else a little-known state law that dates back decades might do it for them.

AND if the former convicted president continues to run for President as a felon, maybe just maybe that question on Job Applications ‘have you ever been convicted of a Felony’ should NOT APPEAR ON ANY Application for any Company in the USA!

If WA was a swing state it could matter.

It would absolutely be unconstitutional to apply this to federal office. (My home state, Pennsylvania, has a similar "infamous crimes" provision in its constitution.)

If WA is the only state with this provision, it won't make a damned bit of difference to the election. A "Blue Wall" state, WA has not sent a single GOP elector to the Electoral College since 1984... and it's the Electoral College which decides the POTUS. [psst: Biden is losing in 5of7 swing states]

AP did a story on this very topic last year, discussing an unrelated case. Looks like there may be more to this. At the very least it could force legal battles that might slow down certifications of votes. www.fox21news.com/politics/ap-...
