Anyone have any recs or personal experience with far UV systems for air disinfection? I know they’re relatively newish, but I’m looking into every option to improve our immunocompromised daughter’s safety this fall/winter.
Can you be a bit more specific about what you're looking for?
I do some research on efficient deep UV light sources and come across these systems in my work. My impression is that most systems on the market do not have proven efficacy. I also have some concerns that although the brightest emission is in the UVC region which is skin safe there may also be some
umm, a little bit, I have a ton of experience in adjacent work that overlaps, anything specific? I can't be the end all be all with this, but I might have some ideas
If they do not cost four figures, they are fake. Except for the little $400 one that you're supposed to hold or set down in front of you, which does not actually have enough power to kill the virus in the time it takes to pass over it.
Check this out, it seems there is thought that the health benefits of far UV may be diminished as there’s also increased ozone production, especially if air filtration is not also used. www.vox.com/the-highligh... Seems like we don’t know as much about the cost/benefit ratio as we’d like.
Can special lightbulbs end the next pandemic before it starts?
