My daughter's new cat slipped out on the coldest day of winter 2 years ago. They searched and left food outside for her. Nothing. Finally, after a week I gave them a cat trap. Within an hour she was inside it. They get so scared when they are outside that they almost act feral.
Also, as someone posted and what I had not considered is that that's just what abusers do. They turn cruel, nasty verbiage into "it's just a joke..." And that's exactly what Trump and his ilk do. If you don't like it, you can't take a joke. It's so sick.
My occasional historical romance read. If you like historical romances, Eloisa James does it right. And in spite of what the cheesy cover might imply, there's a good bit of meat to this novel. Actually, that came out wrong. There's a lot of thoughtful writing in here.
