Seems like a lot of consumers don't have patience for indie games because of the reputation for unpolished experiences. It's a shame there's only a small niche at the moment who are willing to play indie games and approach them with patience.

Honestly price point is a major factor. Like if a game starts to push over 30$ expectations get WAY higher, but 10-15$ people expect a certain amount of rough edges. I find indie games generally face less issues than AAA because of this. The issue they face more is going unnoticed.
