OK...the NWS Bot collection is now fully populated and ready to go. I'm sure bugs will come up along the way, but I think it is 95%+ stable. There's an index page at nws-bot.us including a map (borrowed from NWS) to find the right bot for the area you want to follow.

Did you read Jameson's book on Chandler from a few years ago? So good.
Chandler is great, but I can see how college students today would find his stuff difficult on a few levels. Man, this makes me want to reread Chandler... again.

Good point. I bought an annotated version of The Big Sleep some years ago, and I was amazed at how much the footnotes helped. Not that I've ever found Chandler's prose difficult. But then, that dude was never your typical Pulp writer either.
I was thinking about how much of our culture is influenced by this form that doesn't exist anymore.
