...I see a now familiar lighting, editing and pacing, script style we can see other Derrickson films since such as Sinister, Black Phone. I think this sequel actually kept the Hellraiser series respectable and going for the next decade or so, even if the next few sequels were hit and miss.
Sitting back with HELLRAISER:INFERNO. Been a while since watching it. Did buy an ex-rental vhs copy soon after released. Early good direction from Scott Derrickson, (Black Phone, Sinister, Doctor Strange) a solid return from Craig Scheffer in another Barker related film a while since Nightbreed...
I just finished re-reading it before this long-delayed new tv adaptation has arrived. Seems they've left out and changed much again.
Great. First time reading?

Just finished the most recent Adam Nevill novel from last year, All The Fiends Of Hell. His version of War Of The Worlds with a big Lovecraftian atmosphere. Now starting The House At Phantom Park by legend Graham Masterton. Also dipping into classic Poe & M.R. James. What are you reading October?
Excellent choice. I'm finishing up All The Fiends of Hell by Adam Nevill. Might get into another Masterton in October.
Four books of fear fiction, including my latest from August -The Briggar Stone -all available now from Amazon or even real bookshops near if you dare. Get into the spooky season feeling.
Right then, we finally have a very atmospheric trailer for the new NOSFERATU movie. What are your thoughts? It brings to mind the grand scale of Coppola's Dracula but with darker menace and chills.
