I got derailed from Pokemon Prism to revisit Pokemon Brown since it had a new update very recently, and this one... I think it's really great that Koolboyman was able to complete an entire game and make a lot of mistakes. There are a lot of lessons learned here.

I think there's a lot of design built into a pokemon game that you are freed up from when designing a rom hack. By the nature of how much less inaccessible the game is, I think its totally fair to assume the player knows the drill. Pokemon Brown will never be anyone's first pokemon game.
